Pomona Young Entrepreneur

Boot Camp

A proposal is underway to launch an innovative program for Pomona Youth. And if approved and fully funded it would develop in youth leadership skills, improve academic achievement and promote a strong sense of self-worth and self-esteem through an intensive one week residential entrepreneurship education program on the campus of California State Polytechnic State University.

The College of Business Administration, entrepreneurship department will be the host academic department for the residential component if approved and funded.

The program will continue virtually throughout the 2009/10 school year. CEL along with its partners PUSD and Cal Poly will track participant’s ongoing academic performance as they participate in entrepreneurial activities throughout the school year.

Congratulations Cal Poly Senior Project

The first CEL/Cal Poly Senior Project was a huge success.  This community services outreach program allowed Cal Poly senior business students get hands-on experience and course credit for working with CEL entrepreneurs in our business incubator program.

The three teams worked with our incubator clients conducting professional market research analysis and ultimately developing professional marketing plans for each business. We are deeply grateful for their participation and enthusiasm.  We look forward to continuing the program this summer and/or in the fall.
